Alfa Laval is looking for a qualified HRBP in our Africa region to ensure effective implementation of Human Resource programs across the organization and to maximize the productivity of the organization by optimizing the effectiveness of its employees.

The person will be an integral team player of the Human Resource Organization in ALMEA: Alfa Laval Middle East and Africa; and will be responsible for South and East Africa as well as supporting our business partners. Focus countries are South Africa, Kenya and Angola.

Alfa Laval Africa is a registered company formed in 1920, with its main site in Johannesburg. It is responsible for 23 countries in the territory with more than 40 highly experienced professionals with 2 service centres in the South Africa and Angola.

Business in Alfa Laval has grown very well during the recent years, and we are looking for a competent HRBP who would help us drive change and support our Sales company transformation.
- HR Officer’s role is connecting HR and the business. Will work closely with business leaders to improve business outcomes through HR activities and strategy in alignment with business needs Will implement HR practices through various employee managementtechniques-Supportandinspireemployeesbydrivingorganizationalchanges and create employee value Responsibilities
- Drive the SC transformation in S&E Africa organization Integral part of South Africa’s leadership team and local crisis management committee.
- Drives with the company’s Managing Director local MT meetings, Info meetings and staff events
- Drives Onboarding and Induction for new hires
- Coach & Support managers and employees on various HR and employee relations matters
- Drive the Performance Management process (PDD) on local level
- Support Talent Selection during recruitment process and indirect resources at partners’ side
- Drive Employee engagement and create positive work environment on local level, support Voice process, support CSR activities. Create a strategy for partners engagement
- Support Employer Branding activities on local level with Key universities and technical schools
- Support Competence Development & local training activities on local levels and on Partners’ side
- Support the local management team with Employee communication on local level
- Drive Talent retention and Exit interview analysis on local level
- Represent the company in front of the public authorities/local audits/bargaining councils/CCMA in South Africa
- Local expert on local labour laws and statuary requirements. Drives annual submissions as mandated by law (BBBEE, Employment equity, Skills development.)
- Responsible for HR policies review if required and timely communication to employees on local level
- Support local organization in regard to Employee grievances and/or disciplinary measures
- Manage local recognition programs to improve staff motivation on local lev

Workplace & Reporting

The position is located at the Johannesburg, South Africa. The position reports to the HR Director Alfa Laval Middle East and Africa.

Interactions level:
Internal:
All Divisional Managers, Business Managers, extended management team members, peers, locally or globally, HRBP MEA, HRSSC organization, People Development Manager, TA Manager, HR Partner SOP & other peers.

External:
Government authorities, HR forums, Industry associations, Consulting firms as & when required, bargaining councils

Who you are?

7-10 years of relevant experience in Human Resources.

Graduate preferably with MBA
