Senior Fund Administrator: Trades Duplications

**Role purpose**
To provide trade support on traded instruments to Institutional Clients, Asset Managers, Mancos and Insurance Companies who have outsourced part or all of their Operations to Curo Fund Services. Client scope will include all existing relationships.
Specific duties
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Processing of all transactions across all Unit dealing, Duplication admin and International trade support
- Lifecycle Management - trade maintenance and trade support
- Settlements and confirmations - execution of all confirmation and Settlement instructions
- Responsible for ensuring all deadlines are met and escalating issues in a timely manner and as appropriate
- Daily/ Weekly/Monthly reconciliation of stock & Cash portfolios.
- Investigation of all queries and ensuring these are resolved within the agreed turnaround times.
- Compliance with company policy and procedures, Client Service Level Agreements and internal controls.
- Ensuring that all process documentation is kept up to date.
- Ensuring that Team Leader/Manager is informed of any recon items and outstanding issues
- Escalating any urgent issues to Team Leader/Manager
- Reconciliation of accrued interest and receipting of all interest received.
- Acting as a backup when required.
- Ensuring that all process documentation is kept up to date and is filed and easily retrievable
- Timely and accurate processing of all instructions in accordance to the client’s service level agreements.
- Exercising of controls as allocated to ensure operational efficiency, process and product improvement.
- Identify and drive process improvement initiatives to meet the demands of a developing product set, client base and trading growth
- Produce relevant MIS around Volumes, Key Controls and process/system stress points
- Support team manager in the escalation, drafting and/or reviewing of incident reports when required
- Responsible for the ongoing development and updating of procedures and audit reviews.
- Responsible for the ongoing training of staff in team as required.
- Utilise the on-the Job Training tool kit for new hires.
- Ensure that all client queries are being addressed in a timely manner
Specific Qualifications/ Skills:
- Knowledge of financial services (investment management) industry
- Excellent relationship building skills, superlative interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to analyse data
- Individual who can use initiative, take ownership and is able to question from base principles.
- Ability to manage the risks associated with our environment.
- Capacity to think laterally and understand the big picture
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
- Good prioritization and time management skills
- Excellent relationship management both internal and external to Curo
- Flexible approach to working hours and task allocation
**Skills**:
- Interpersonal, numerical, problem-solving, analytical
- Excellent understanding of Operational risk
- Previous Client and/or External Counterparty Contact
- Strong PC skills, particularly Excel
- Good understanding of Financial instruments
- Strong attention to detail
Education
- Tertiary qualification in commerce, finance or accounting
- Diploma or course in SA Financial Market Instruments will be an advantage
