Broom Assembly Supervisor

**THE ROLE**

To plan, coordinate and supervise all broom assembly functions to meet required service levels

**KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY**

**TASKS**

**Daily Reporting**
- Daily plan of the day
- Staff attendance
- Daily assembly requirements based on blue, red and yellow buffer
- KPI reporting
- Reporting man hours to close works orders
- Stock variance checks
- Damage/reject recording
- Responding to mails relating to broom assembly and deal requests

**Work Order Completion**
- Recording man hours to close works orders
- Scanning of complete pallets
- Ensure the total items quantity assembled matches work order quantities

**JDE**
- Create and print work orders
- Create pick slip
- Allocate picking to staff
- Receipt and issue from branch 320 to branch 390
- Capture hours in JDE
- Transfer excess stock
- Check various status in process until complete. Status 30, 45, 49 and 79
- Cardex vs location investigation on JDE
- Daily location verification of picked items

**Operations**
- Daily item available check to assemble items
- No stock items to be ordered from RMS through requisition process.
- Requisition handover to be confirmed when receipted - system and location master to be updated

**Stock Accuracy/Control**
- Responsible for Cardex transactions in 390 and components picked from 320
- To manage daily cycle counts
- To ensure that all items, packaging and component damages are reported immediately
- To ensure that all damaged product, components or packaging are written off according to policy and procedures

**Key Performance Indicators analysis**
- Daily analysis of the previous day’s performance and to assist to put actions in place to maintain/exceed performance according to targets

**Daily Focus Group Meeting**
- To ensure daily focus group meeting is held with staff
- To ensure that all relevant concerns are addressed timeously.

**To manage a team**
- Guide and manage broom assembly scanner with daily required output
- Ensure assembled targets achieved by assemblers
- To ensure staff adheres to Department policies and procedures

**To manage and control all equipment**
- To ensure that staff do not abuse or damage any company property, tools or equipment

**To ensure that the highest housekeeping levels are maintained on a daily basis**
- To ensure that all working areas are up kept to the highest housekeeping levels at all times

**To ensure a safe working environment**
- To adhere to all safety policies
- To ensure safe use of equipment
- To identify and report any risk to the manager

**To adhere to all company policies and procedures**
- To adhere to all company policies & procedures
- To train staff on new/amended policies and procedures

**Financial stock takes**
- To take part in ad-hoc yearly stock takes and cycle counts
