Position Overview:
The Furniture Assembler is responsible for assisting in the assembly and repair of furniture within the warehouse facility. This role involves working with various types of furniture, using hand and power tools to assemble and repair items according to manufacturer specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in furniture assembly, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the assembly of various flat-pack types of furniture, including tables, chairs, desks, and cabinets.
2. Follow assembly instructions and diagrams to ensure accurate and efficient assembly of furniture items.
3. Managing the spares and repackaging of furniture items.
4. Inspect furniture parts for defects or damage and report any issues to the supervisor.
5. Repair damaged or defective furniture items, including replacing parts, fixing joints, and refinishing surfaces.
6. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including storage of tools and materials.
7. Ensure compliance with safety procedures and use personal protective equipment when necessary.
8. Assist in loading and unloading furniture items from delivery trucks and warehouse shelves.
9. Communicate with supervisors and team members to coordinate work tasks and priorities.
10. Provide support to other warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and order fulfilment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Previous experience in furniture assembly or a similar role.
2. Knowledge of furniture assembly techniques and procedures.
3. Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and diagrams.
4. Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
5. Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy furniture items.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
8. Ability to work independently and follow instructions.

Additional Information:
- This is a full-time position based at our warehouse facility.
- The role may require occasional overtime and flexibility in working hours to meet deadlines.
