Assistant Production Supervisor/ Manager required
- Experience in the flexible packaging industry supervising and overseeing of production on several processes
- Knowledge of plastic converting machines bag making, sleeving, tubing, perforation, extrusion, laminating, slitting as well as printing is a must.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a flexible packaging (Plastic) conversion production plant as a production supervisor or assistant supervisor / Manager
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of plastic conversion machines in the production plant mechanical, electrical, pneumatic as well as electronics
- Self-motivated and production driven.
- Advanced Microsoft experience is essential.
- Good communication skills with clients and suppliers
- Work well under pressure and understand the importance of deadlines
- Team player and well spoken.
- Willing to learn new skills constantly and train and address staff confidently.
- Cost saving priority with no rejects.
- Must understand the importance of motivating subordinates positively to ensure highest quality and best turnaround time.
- Do constant QC checks in line.
- Issuing of Job Cards and planning efficiently to ensure all processes are always running to maximum capacity.
- Departmental communication between head office, Sales director, and the Factory manager
- Implement strategies to gain full production on all processes in the plant.
- Identify key problem areas.
- Establish accurate ETA’s.
- Ensure spare parts are ordered timeously to prevent unnecessary downtime of machines due to waiting for spare parts.
- Always keep spare parts levels up to date and maintain preventative maintenance plan to ensure scheduled maintenance is done.
- HACCP and ISO experience will be an advantage.
- Always ensure full HACCP compliance is implemented and followed.
- Logical and analytically minded.
- Willing to work flexible hours / shifts and overtime as and when required.

**Salary**: From R10,000.00 per month
