This role will be based in Cape Town, and you need experience in the REIPPP process as well as reaching financial close, in order to be considered.

**About the Role**
- Positioned within the Development Division and reporting to the Chief Development Officer
- Ultimate responsibility to drive economic and contractual processes on PPA's and lead all PPA related negotiations
- Manage and responsible for all bid responses to REIPPPP and corporate bid opportunities
- Oversee business development and business development strategy in conjunction with the Chief Development Officer

**Required Skills and Educational Background**
- Degree in one of the following: law, project finance, engineering or other relevant field
- 7+ years' experience working with large renewable energy projects
- Strong commercial experience in a related field
- Experience from similar role with same level of responsibility and tasks
- Strong project management, communication and relationship skills towards external project stakeholders to ensure project progress
- Leadership skills to manage and senior and junior business developers

**Goals and Responsibilities**
- Implement project roll-out strategy in conjunction with the Chief Development Officer
- Ensure timely negotiations and signing of PPA's
- Customer facing, interaction and engagement
- Manage timelines and budgets for negotiating and concluded PPA's
- Be responsible for REIPPPP and corporate bid opportunities
- Build out and manage the Business Development Team, including Senior
- and Junior Business Developers as well as the REIPPPP & Commercial Bid Manager
- Head up the Business Development team, leading PPA negotiations with private off-takers and driving the completion of bids in the REIPPP space
