**Role purpose**:
The G band Manager: Billing Management Solutions role is based within the Technology Business Unit.

The core purpose of this role is to provide Information Technology leadership as it relates to assurance solutions across Vodacom IS Technology landscape and Product Portfolio. The role will lead and own the implementation of end-to-end assurance solutions to address assurance gaps across people, processes and technology.

The objective of this role is primarily to serve as a thought leader and strategic decision maker for the Business Assurance Solutions provided by IS Technology across various Services Domains. The goal is Revenue Protection and Risk Mitigation with Lean Operations and Billing and Reporting Excellence.
The role requires relationship building working closely with the various Vodacom functions and external companies (ie. Managed Services), where persuasion and collaboration skills to meet the required outcomes will be essential.

The role also has an Operational component relating to the management of the outsourced Billing Operations function and to ensure strategic initiatives are developed, implemented and operates as expected.

**Your responsibilities will include**:
Manage and own the implementation of Business Assurance, Billing Assurance and Revenue Reporting solutions for Transformation; Factory and projects within Billing Management. Ensure that these align to the Technology Group strategy and include all relevant systems across the company including Engineering.
Owning, creating and socialising digital-class policies, principles and processes that govern Vodacom’s Assurance and Revenue Reporting solutions
Shape and support the evaluation and operationalisation and improvement of the implemented Billing Assurance and Reporting solutions within the Billing Management Division, as well as with the various development, production and product portfolios.
Support and guide areas implementing Integrity Assurance strategies in their various business and technology domains and manage reporting on progress against plans.
Delivery and strategic management of the Retail Billing Outsourced Operations to ensure valid, complete and accurate billing of customers.

**Leadership**
Lead, motivate and develop teams and squads, ensuring that they have clarity of direction and support in prioritising demands.
Coach, develop and performance manage people and identify key talent to sustain service excellence.
Embody and embed the Vodacom Spirit within the Squads and Teams, creating and maintaining high levels of engagement.
Manage ‘managed services’ delivered by non-permanent staff.
Create a positive environment of change readiness and a culture of ‘leaning into challenges’.
Build a culture of excellence where the team takes pride.

**Technical / professional qualifications**:
Matric / Grade 12 essential
A Bachelor’s degree qualification specialising in IT or Commerce (essential)
A post graduate degree (desirable)
8-10 years’ experience in Information Technology leadership roles (essential), specifically in the area of delivery of assurance solutions within the telecommunications industry (preferred).
8-10 years’ experience at a technical level essential
5+ years of People Management experience
5+ years’ project experience in delivery of Assurance Solutions (essential)
5+ years’ experience in Telecommunications and/or Digital systems delivery
Track record of vendor management (essential) with experience in managing offshore vendors
Understanding of and exposure to Software Development lifecycle methodologies and Service design is essential working within Agile teams

**Core competencies, knowledge and abiliites**:
Knowledge in implementing Integrity Assurance strategies across various business and technology domains, managing progress reporting against plans.
Expert knowledge of the end-to-end Business Processes and Systems impacting Billing.
Expert knowledge on the impact of products, systems and billing implications on Financial Statements (Advantageous).
Understanding of Billing Services, Billing Operations, telecommunication (Advantageous), IT and the market.
Distinct analytical and systematic thinking and the ability to execute.
Ability to present and communicate complex technical dependencies comprehensively at an executive level.
Ability to engage with management and technical experts to address complex problems and to implement complex end-to-end process and systems solutions.
Proven success in leading of teams that span both the technology and business core deliverables.
Strong organizational skills to effectively prioritise demand, manage multiple projects and initiatives, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
