You will be working as a Sift Leader x 2 - Motor Service Factor, at global grade 16 and will be the part of Motion Business Area for Service Division based in, Alrode, South Africa. In this role you will be reporting to Quality Manager and will be responsible to supervise a shift team’s progress against work plans as defined by Production management to ensure the proper use of machinery, equipment and assembly lines within a production area. Cooperate with the unit supervisor to create an effective work environment and reinforce production schedules and quality. Your responsibilities

Assist management and shift team in allocate, coordinate, and oversee shift orders and work plan execution within production lines during the shift. Plan, budget of resources and logistics so as to meet business objectives and requirements and to ensure that all resources are trained with the necessary skills.
Provide regular feedback and make recommendation to management regarding issues within the production line, include production line organization, shift priorities and possible critical situations.
Help management implement staff movements in case of vacations, illnesses, machine outages or shifting priorities, ensure adequate staffing levels for the work to be carried out. Conduct regular meetings with staff to ensure that all quality-related issues are resolved and that the Mission Directed Works Teams process is implemented.
Ensure that all staff in the section are aware of the Quality Management System requirements as it applies to them and identify areas of training required by subordinate and initiate corrective action for discipline when required. Direct and coordinate the operation of the service section, serve as leader during shifts to oversee cooperation and the resolution of technical/quality problems and logistic issues.
Monitor all aspects of work handled by subordinates to ensure that it meets the required standard of quality and efficiency. Ensure that all aspects concerning quality related to procurement are handled correctly.
Reinforce focus on volume, efficiency and on time delivery. Liaison within ABB, and with sub-contractors and vendors,
ensure the shift operation is run in compliance with health & safety policies and guidelines. Your background

Minimum matric and N3 technical, Trade test.
Minimum experience of 10 years in the motor service industry, motor service industry.
Exposure to leadership.
Should have good Communications & presentation skills. Excellent level of English required. More about us
