**Job Advert Summary**: An opportunity has arisen for a high calibre Operations Manager to oversee, lead and manage all aspects of a high-volume FMCG operation and to ensure consistent high-level service quality and customer satisfaction, profitable, cost efficient operations, and compliance.
**Minimum Requirements**:

- Tertiary Qualification in transportation and logistics
- Excellent Computer skills
- Excellent management and human resources skills
- Good understanding of accounting processes
- Business and financial acumen
- Knowledge of financial management principles
- 8 - 10 Years at senior operational level within the transportation industry
- Strong communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Basic legal knowledge of contracts
- Problem solving skills
- Judgment and decision-making skills
- Strategic planning capability
- Customer management and industry networking capability
- Occupational Health and Safety Act legislation
- Sound knowledge of the logistics and supply chain management environment
- Understanding of Company Disciplinary and Grievance procedures

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
Execute Business Strategies:

- Develop, establish, and execute operating plans and strategy for the short, medium and long term
- Develop and monitor systems to manage operational work, operating processes and procedures
- Maintain and monitor operating processes and procedures
- Lead the various technology based operational excellence initiatives within the business
- Oversee risk management and legal activities including but not limited to letters of agreement, contracts, leases, and other legal documents and agreements

Financial and Operational Control
- Manage and control revenue, costs and profit
- Ensure reporting and integrity of financial results
- Managing the assets
- Ensure operation meets budget and other financial goals
- Oversee the budget planning and processes
- Drive Best Practices throughout the business
- Optimization of people, processes and technologies
- Comply with the appropriate Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, regulatory requirements, and internal audit requirements.

Managing teams
- Provide strategic leadership for the operations team and oversee their functions
- Drive change, accountability, and excellence within the team Integrate People through Vision, Mission, Values and Organizational Structures
