The Finance Clerk is responsible for performing day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing and posting Journals, Month-End Reconciliations, Bank Uploads, Remittance Advices, obtaining authorisation on Invoices and Audit enquiries.

**Technical Work Responsibilities**
- Processing incoming Invoices in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Performing day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing and posting
- Preparing Month End Reconciliations in line with financial policies and procedures
- Uploading Payment Batch Files into the Banking System and verifying accuracy
- Remittance Advices sent to all Suppliers once Payments have been approved via the Authorisers and Releasers
- Obtaining authorisation on Invoices from the relevant HOD’s, Administrators and Managers
- Audit enquiries: preparing Audit Samples as requested; verifying accuracy and completeness of the Sample and ensure outstanding Information is completed before handover to Auditors/Supervisors

**Education**
- A Financial diploma in Bookkeeping
- A one-year certificate from College or Technical School

**Experience**
- Three to six months proven work experience as Accounts Payable Clerk (or Accounts Receivable Clerk)
- Solid understanding of basic Bookkeeping and Accounts Payable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage Accounting Figures and Financial Records
- Data entry skills along with strong numbers of skills
- Hands-on experience with Spreadsheets

**Requirements**:

- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Own car
- SA Citizen or valid work permit to work in South Africa
- Minimal/Moderate/Excessive overnight travel (up to 30%) by land or air if required.
- Willing to work overtime
