Creditors Supervisor

**Main purpose of the job**:
- To effectively manage and coordinate the creditors function in the Creditors Department
**Location**:
- **Parktown - Johannesburg**
**Key performance areas**:
- Supervise all accounts payable functions
- Ensure adherence to systems, procedures, and policies, including accounts payable functions to company guidelines and address any deviations
- Manages month-end processes
- Provides accounting assistance to grant managers and operations staff; responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs
- Acts as a liaison between the grants and suppliers and auditors to meet information needs and to ensure that proper information is maintained for historical purposes
- Ensure effective management of the creditors' book
- Ensure maintenance of a manual filing and storage system as required per WHC policies and procedures
- Ensure correct supplier information is captured on X3 according to the required standards
- Ensure compliance with Foreign Exchange Requirements
**Required minimum education and training**:
- **Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration/Bookkeeping/Finance**
**Required minimum work experience**:
- **Minimum 3 years experience in a supervisory capacity**
**Desirable additional education, work experience, and personal abilities**:
- Must pay attention to the detail
- Experience working with MS Office
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional organization and administrative skills required
- Working overtime may be required from time to time
- Must be able to travel to visit suppliers as and when required, therefore a valid driver’s license is required
- Maintain effective working relationships with all relevant stakeholders, both internal and external
- Able to provide sound knowledge and advice to staff in fulfilling their duties
