Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Collect the delinquent / outstanding amount from the consumer
- Able to handle customers objections such as but not limited to disputes, bill charges, statements, etc..
- To respect and act according Teleperformance’s rules, regulations, and values
- Early-Stage Collections: Contact customers who are behind on their payments to remind them of their outstanding balances and encourage timely payment.
- Account Recovery: Locate and contact customers who have defaulted on their loans and attempt to recover the outstanding debt.
- Debt Negotiation: Work with customers to negotiate payment plans or settlements.
- Vulnerable Customer Handling: Identify, assess, and support vulnerable customers throughout the collections process, ensuring their needs and well-being are prioritized. This includes:

- Recognizing signs of vulnerability, such as mental health issues, financial hardship, or domestic abuse.
- Providing clear and concise information in a compassionate and empathetic manner.
- Offering alternative payment arrangements or support services, when appropriate.
- Working with external agencies, such as debt charities or social services, to provide additional support to vulnerable customers.
- Minimum 1-2years of experience working with the UK collection process
- Maintain campaign performance, quality, regulatory and compliance standards

- In order to be considered for this role you must be able to provide 2 valid reference and pass a Criminal and Credit record check.

- Salary: R7 000,00 - R8 500,00 per month

- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

- Collections: 1-2 years (required)
- Clear criminal and credit
