We have an existing opportunity for a dynamic Project Manager to join our client’s project team. The role will include Project Management and retail experience along with Oil and Gas industry experience will be essential.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Establish and be fully accountable for the quality and effectiveness of project planning and scheduling activities;
- Manage project teams and progress of the different projects within project execution and control activities against plan;
- Authorize actions relating to project quality standards and gain sign-off and manage project quality plans;
- Implement policies and procedures, and manage the provision and operation, of project infrastructure and configuration management activities;
- Manage systems installation, implementation, and handover;
- Ensure that the operability and maintenance elements of the project are addressed, establishing a strong relationship with delivery teams to ensure a smooth transition through implementation;
- Review progress and communicate relevant information relating to project execution, monitoring, and control activities; and
- Implement and manage strategy, procedures, and plans for, project risk management activities.
- Personally get involved in all areas across the life cycle as/when required, happy to get their hands dirty

**Education & Experience Required**:

- Relevant qualification in project management, business administration, or other business-related qualification.
- Minimum (8+) years experience in SDLC - managing work execution, providing resolution for problems, maintaining project schedules, reporting on project status, managing different multiple project teams, Project costs, and mitigating Project risks; and
- Comprehensive understanding of allocating project resources, issuing progress reports, devising, organizing, and implementing multiple high scale complex projects through business analysis, software development, and project management.
- Retail experience is imperative

**Knowledge and Skills**:
General Skills:

- Detailed understanding of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- In-depth knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring, and controlling projects, business case development, approval skills, procurement process, negotiation with third parties, project management methods, budgeting, and resource allocation procedures, and solving or pre-empting problems;
- Excellent written and facilitation skills;
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, quickly changing, and sometimes unstructured environment; and
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills combined with a determination to help meet client needs are definite requirements.

**Technical Skills**:

- Experience in Retail and Oil & Gas industries
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint

**Working conditions/Environment**:

- Remote Role/Hybrid Set-up
- Must be based in Cape Town
- May be required to work beyond office hours - as required by the needs of the client and this position as well as the needs of the organization.
- Limited travel to the UAE may be required.
- The ability to attend and conduct presentations is required.
- Manual dexterity is required to use a laptop, iPad, and peripherals.
