**Purpose Statement**

The Data Analyst will work across all the Famous Brands. The principal responsibilities include accountability for preparing menu analysis and completing forecasts for all new menu and promotional items to facilitate informed and timely commercial decisions by the Marketing department and Senior Management. The role is also responsible for developing and maintaining accurate and meaningful reports to communicate the performance of menu and promotional items, as well as any reports that will add value to Famous Brands Marketing department.

**Business Analysis & Reporting**:

- Design and build data pipelines to integrate data from various sources
- Design, develop and maintaining business intelligence solutions
- Partner with IT in driving automation of reports through Business Intelligence (Power BI)
- Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization
- Translate business needs to technical specifications
- Design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g. reporting tools)
- Evaluate and improve existing BI systems
- Collaborate with IT team to integrate systems
- Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, developing and maintaining protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data
- Generate and deliver quality reports to Brands and perform quality assurance checks on reports
- Utilize computer programs, analytical tools and machine learning to pull out actionable insights from big data

**Mapping Analysis**
- Identify and report brand and market gaps and ensure AAA sites are pursued by using GIS
- Utilise GIS solution to drive analytics
- Analyse spatial data through the use of mapping software (Spatial XL)
- Compile annual budgets on store opening revamps and closures
- Support Leading Brands on adhoc business analysis
- Compile and deliver insights on Projects
- Discover patterns and trends through spatial mapping of data
- Design digital maps with geographic data and other data source
- Track industry and competitor trends and share knowledge with stakeholders
- Analyse competitors' moves using analytical frameworks and models
- Define Brand requirements by working collaboratively with new business teams

**Masterdata**:

- Maintain database systems, ensuring data integrity and reliability
- Manage FB data for the BI team
- Completed Grade 12 / Matric
- BComm. / BSc. Degree in Finance or Analytics or similar
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Data Analyst
- Experience in translating data into relevant insights
- Solid analytical experience and thinking

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Self-motivated, driven by results and desire to help
- Numerate and analytical with the ability to produce reports and derive valuable insights and analysis
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated experience in working with databases, data analysis, segmentation and modelling
- Excellent team player and interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
