Facilitator and Assessor

**MAIN JOB PURPOSE**
- The incumbent should have knowledge of outcome-based education and the implementation of Seta accredited qualifications.
- The Incumbent will be responsible for planning and preparing logistics for training. Support learners during the learning process and facilitate learning using different facilitation methodologies. Conduct assessments and ensure quality POEs are submitted for moderation
- The Incumbent must have experience in dealing with learners living with disabilities.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

**The duties of facilitator and Assessor include**

**Plan and prepare for facilitation.**
- _Assisting Campus Manager to exit competent learners utilising different facilitation methodologies._
- _Ensure training logistics are catered for._
- _Ensure Alignment of Training Schedule to Roll Out Plan._
- _Ensure learning environment is arranged to meet organisational and legislative requirements for _safety _& accessibility_.
- _Conduct research and / or appropriate improvisation in order to augment and inform updates and_
- _review of learning material and facilitation._
- _Ensure all course preparation is in line with what is required in each PoE._

**Facilitate learning.**
- _Cater for the needs of learners, possible learning barriers, previous learning experiences, literacy _and numeracy levels, language, culture, special needs, and_ different learning styles.
- _Use key questions, scenarios, triggers, challenges, problems, tasks and activities as is appropriate to the situation._
- _Use a combination of relevant facilitation tools, resources and methodologies to suit specific learner _groups._
- _Conduct formative and summative assessments and manage POE building in accordance to ETQA requirements._
- _Conduct moderation as required._
- _Provide input into the learner profiling for workplace and collaborate with relevant stakeholders for_ _learner wellbeing._

**Assessments**
- _Conduct Assessments of learner POE’s_
- _Compile Assessments Reports_
- _Make recommendation on improving learning material._
- _Provide Feedback to the learner on their performance and provide guidance on remediations to be done._
- _Ensure Assessments are in line with the Academic QMS/Seta requirements._

**Reporting**
- _Campus Manager Feedback_
- _Client Feedback_
- _SETA Feedback_
- _Learner Progress_

**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**
- Preference will be given to individuals who holds the following Qualifications, Project Management or Business Administration or IT
- Facilitator qualification is a must.
- Constituent Assessors with other Seta’s that Signa Academy is accredited with such as MICT Seta, Food & Beverage Seta, Agri Seta, W and R Seta.
- Moderator Certificate is preferable.
- Studying towards a full ETDP qualification is an added advantage.
- Extensive knowledge on the SETA’s/training legislation, have understanding training methodologies.
- Proficiency in English language is a must.
- Minimum of 2-3 Years’ experience in training in learnership environment.
- Minimum of 2-3 Years’ experience training and Skills Development Environment.
- Extensive experience in the SETA’s/training legislation, understand assessment and moderation processes and Some experience in training learners with disabilities will be an added advantage.
