**NEW GENERATION OF ACADEMICS PROGRAMME (NGAP)**
**DEPARTMENT OF WOMEN’S AND GENDER STUDIES**
**LECTURER**

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Contributing to the learning and teaching programme at undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
- Willingness to explore digital teaching and learning technologies and approaches.
- Supervision of Honours research projects and assisting with other postgraduate theses.
- Developing an independent research and publications profile;
- Contributing to departmental academic administration.

**Minimum Requirements**
- A minimum of 70% for the Master's degree in Women’s and Gender Studies
- Demonstrated experience as a Sociology lecturer, graduate lecturing assistant/teaching assistant, or tutor
- Familiarity with online teaching and learning platforms
- Some peer-reviewed scholarly publications/or evidence of manuscript/s submitted for publication consideration
- Demonstrable familiarity with feminist and decolonial theory, methodology and pedagogy
- Excellent verbal and written English skills

**Added advantages include**:

- The ability to assist with the supervision of postgraduate theses.
- Fluency in at least one African language
- A publication record
