**CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO) - CAPE TOWN - Competitive Salary with Benefits**

**Upmarket Safari Operation based in the Chobe - Zambezi Region - Namibia is currently looking for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to join their team who would be responsible for performing duties as the highest-ranking executive to guide company practices and procedures.**

The duties will include overseeing company operations, communicating with other company executives and to make important decisions that impact the company’s brand identity and financial health. The position will be based in the company’s Head Office in Cape Town.

Essential Requirements:

- Proven experience as Chief Executive Office / Hotel GM / Safari Lodge or relevant role.
- Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing, Operations of a Hotel or Safari business.
- Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.
- Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
- Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS O365.
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
- Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
- Qualified in Business Administration, Hotel management, or relevant field, MBA is a plus.
- Developing and implementing commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives aiming to accelerate growth.
- Conducting market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities (expansion, business development etc.)
- Understand the requirements of existing customers to ensure their needs are being met.
- Act and direct relevant department to acquire new customers and manage client relationships (new and existing.)
- Collaborate with and coordinate diverse teams (marketing, sales, finance, operations etc.)
- Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders.
- Assist in setting annual financial targets and budget development and monitoring.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Implementation of the Strategy of the Division reporting to the Board of Directors.
- Establishing policies that promote company culture and vision as per Strategy provided.
- In conjunction with GM’s, set comprehensive goals for performance and growth through a detailed business plan for the business.
- Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of key executives in Marketing, Sales, Reservations, Finance, Operations and IT including systems.
- Lead Management and employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication.
- Evaluate performance by analysing and interpreting data and metrics.
- Write and submit reports monthly to the Chairman of the board.
- Manage critical relationships with partners including clients and suppliers.
- Cost control throughout business according to budgets.
