**Summary**

Truck drivers' assistants supervise and assist with the loading and unloading of goods. This assistant also deals with the paperwork, ensuring that receipts are signed and the money due for goods is collected.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Loading and unloading company products.
- Assisting drivers to find delivery locations.
- Compiling accurate delivery records and reports.
- Reporting all delivery-related problems to senior staff.
- Liaising with the main office or the warehouse team about store queries or complaints.
- Assisting with the loading of the delivery vehicle at the end of each shift for the next day.
- Obtaining clients’ and customers’ signatures as an acknowledgment of having received the delivered products.
- Ensuring that all safety policies and procedures are adhered to.

**Skills and abilities**
- Able to work well with others
- Flexible to working hours and open to change
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Customer service skills
- **Physical Fitness, as heavy lifting is required.**
- Numeracy and Literacy skills
- Good organising skills

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a truck assistant, helper, or similar role preferred.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions from the truck driver.
- Police clearance
- Basic Medical Certificate to confirm health

**Job Type**: Temp to perm
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: R5 378,10 per month
