**Job Function**

To ensure all activities regarding the management of designated key accounts related to 3PL distribution are executed and that the assigned 3PL distribution key account portfolio grows as per the annual incentive scheme.

**Key performance areas**

**Customer relationship management**
- Manage customer relationships and expectations effectively and pro-actively and focusing on 3PL distribution and other levels of the customer’s business units, in line with:

- Manage agreed distribution commercial contractors
- Total service offering with a focus on distribution
- SLA/SOP and customer KPIs are in place and presented quarterly
- Update MDS system on a monthly basis
- Manage assigned distribution partners in line with the agreed SLA and commercial framework.

**New business development**
- Lead generation
- Identify new opportunities within the existing client base to expand 3PL distribution service offering
- Analyse and report the customer’s distribution business on a monthly basis to understand emerging trends within their business and industry

**Data analysis**
- Analyse and report the customer’s distribution business on a monthly basis to understand emerging trends within their business and industry
- Ensure timeous communication to National KAM, informing of any potential changes within the customer’s business, industry and potential risk

**Customer Engagement**

**Sales Calls**
- 8 customer and supplier engagements per week
- Monthly check in with National KAM regarding customer engagements

**Database Quality**
- Establish appropriate relationships & communication with the relevant functional area’s both internal and external to enhance customer satisfaction & ensure customer retention.
- All client records should always be maintained with updated:

- Accurate customer details pertaining to:

- Customer contact details
- Opportunity naming conventions including correct verticals, sub verticals and revenue products.
- Accurate Estimated closing dates
- Accurate Client Revenue projections

**Qualifications required**
- Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or Marketing Management

**Skills and experience required**
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong Networker
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Distribution environment
- 3 years’ experience in International Freight Management
- Thorough understanding of 3PL distribution practices
- Good understanding of Import/Export procedures and Incoterms
- Good client relationship management, communication, and presentation skills
- Valid driver’s License and own vehicle
- Ability to present the company 3PL distribution services and group products and services in a professional manner
- Willingness to acquire new skills and gain knowledge
- Work well under pressure, adhere to deadlines and be a self-starter
- Ability to work independently and be a team player simultaneously
- Must take ownership of the position, be dedicated and innovative
- National and regional understanding of road networks
