**Inventory Clerk**

**Position**: Inventory Clerk

**Department** : PDS - Distribution Centre

**Location**: Cape Town Region

**Reporting to** : Inventory Controller

**Prestige Cosmetics Group is offering an exciting opportunity for a hard-working and dedicated individual to join the Distribution Team as an Inventory Clerk. **Purpose of the Role**
- **The core purpose of the role of the Inventory Clerk is to accurately manage the stock holding of the Distribution Centre to ensure efficient fulfill client requirements.**_

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

GENERAL SKILLS
- Have a hardworking and can-do attitude.
- Work under stressful and pressurised conditions

INVENTORY CLERK FUNCTION
- Checking replenishment of stock into pick face bins.
- Maintaining and updating records.
- Counting materials, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock.
- Reporting discrepancies between physical counts and computer records.
- Developing or improving upon inventory management procedures.
- Stocking and distributing supplies, equipment or merchandise.
- Reserving stock on WMS
- Completion of necessary paperwork related to inventory movements.
- Communicating with line manager on possible issues that could cause delays.
- Continuous updates on processes and progress on customer orders between departments.

OTHER
- Assisting in other departments based on operational needs.
- Housekeeping in and around the DC.
- Assist with stock taking and inventory management as required.
- Adhere to Health & Safety Guidelines.

**REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS**
- Matric certificate
- 1 year experience working in Inventory
- Previous experience working a Distribution Centre.
- Available to work shifts and over time as required.
- Must be a team player, an active learner and problem-solver.
- Working knowledge on MS suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Must have reliable transport.
- WMS and Syspro knowledge

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
