Herotel is seeking a highly motivated **Regional **Marketing Manager**. **This is a senior management role covering the Northern Region**:Ventersdorp, Potchefstroom, Klerksdorp, Pretoria and Nelspruit.** This role will require travel within the areas.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
As the Regional Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, execution and tracking of all marketing and PR activity within the region, support the Regional Commercial Manager (RCM) with all marketing activities in the hub and work closely with the Regional Sales Manager to align sales and marketing activity.

**Key Responsibility Areas**:
**Tactics**
Align with the RCM on hub marketing strategy
Develops and continuously improves existing marketing tactics that are in line with the national strategy
Submit monthly plans to the RCM detailing marketing tactics
Collaborate with the other hub on SOP's and best practice
Work with the District Managers to plan and execute marketing activities in their district

**Team Management**
Manage, coach and develop a regional team that includes
Social Media Coordinator: All online digital activities
Marketing Coordinator: All on-the-ground tactics
Creative Designers to create artwork to use online and on-the-ground
Assist the team in managing KPI's, developing and training where necessary to ensure optimal staff efficiency and productivity

**Local Media Buying / Activations**
Source and approve all local media buying activities, including outdoor advertising, radio & sponsorships

**Digital Marketing**
Oversee and manage the social media coordinator, who will focus on:
Social Media Platforms - including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, GoogleMyBusiness, Linkedin and other relevant platforms
Digital media buying on local social media properties
Online Reputation Management: HelloPeter, Google Reviews etc.

**Reporting**
Work with the NSO Brand Manager to track marketing spend by category / activity to ensure that budgets are optimised
Reporting key performance metrics to the RCM on an weekly and monthly basis

**PR**
Escalate all local PR and media queries to the CCO and coordinate the response
Train local staff on media relations, including what not to say to the media or on any community forums

**Meetings**
Attend weekly and monthly L2 cross-functional meetings
Run daily L1 meetings with marketing staff

**Ad Hoc Projects**
Initiate and oversee ad-hoc projects as they relate to or impact on the marketing function and the brand
Ensure that he / she remains up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in media, marketing and PR
- 2 to 3 years' experience in marketing or advertising.
- Excellent organization skills i.e., able to plan, prioritize, co-ordinate and control.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work quickly and under pressure.
- Problem-solving skills
- Time management skills.
- Team player.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

**Qualification criteria**:

- Grade 12
- Any management, call center or customer care qualification and/or training preferrable
