**We are excited to be looking for an experienced German-speaking Sales Team Leader to join our growing Le Boat team in Cape Town**
You will be working for our fantastic brand Le Boat which is the market leader in self-drive boating holidays across Europe and Canada’s inland waterways. With over 50 years of experience and operating a fleet designed to suit all party sizes and budgets where no license and no experience is required, everyone can enjoy a holiday with Le Boat Welcoming guests from all around the world including North America, Germany, and France, Le Boat provides holidays in 9 different countries, has a fleet of 900 self-drive boats, and offers 16 destinations across Europe and Canada
The position of Sales Team Leader is a critical role, responsible for the Northern European region and leading the regional Sales team based in our office in Bad Vilbel, Germany. You will report into the Head of Sales, and the role is responsible for managing the Northern European Sales team’s performance, motivating, coaching, and developing a leading team. You will be** **responsible for ensuring the call centre operates effectively, managing rosters, and achieving agreed KPI sales & service targets, and working closely with the Head of Sales, Head of Partnerships and Business Development, Sales Operations Manager, and wider Sales and Marketing teams.
**What you will be doing**
- Leading the Northern European Sales Team, monitoring call conversion performance, providing direction and support to Sales Agents to provide consistently excellent performance, and championing a positive team spirit
- Working with the Head of Sales to provide the team with targets (weekly, monthly, yearly) and performance updates, and distributing all trading figures and updates to the team
- Drive improvements across the team’s KPIs, using sales trackers, call conversion reports, and other key performance metrics to identify performance issues, develop and implement solutions
- Take responsibility for the escalation of calls, concerns, or feedback received by team members and takes appropriate action
- Ensure the team are up to date with the latest offers, changes in product or processes through effective communication
- Share updates and feedback with the wider management team on weekly trading calls, highlighting sales and service performance, risk & opportunity
- Working closely with the Head of Sales with implementing initiatives and incentives to effectively motivate the Sales team’s drive in growth and performance
- Instilling a customer-focused culture, creating an environment in which every team member takes ownership of opportunities to maximise customer satisfaction and loyalty and minimise business cost/risk through positive, proactive communication and effective problem resolution
- Working with the wider Sales and Marketing team, monitoring online, call centre and other booking processes to identify issues and capture customer feedback, escalating as required to find a resolution
- Work with the regional Marketing Managers, acting as the local expert on competitor activity and insight
- Working with the Head of Partnerships and Business Development, supporting the management of 3rd party Agents, Tour Operators, and other distribution partners with the transfer of knowledge, relationship management, and identifying regional relationship partnership opportunities
- Being a leader for the team, encouraging a high performing, fun environment, working with the Head of Sales on training and development opportunities for the team as well as managing any performance and time management issues
- Effectively manage working time, rotas, holidays, and overtime through timesheets and planning as well as ensuring the smooth integration of new team members
**What we are looking for**
To be successful in this role you will have proven sales leadership experience with a background in working in a sales and customer service environment and working with reservation booking systems. You will be friendly, positive, and resilient and enjoy leading and developing a small sales team.
You will have strong organisation and time management skills and can handle multiple workflows while reacting quickly to last-minute trading requirements. You will be competent in planning and managing team resources, and able to make a realistic assessment of the resources needed to achieve results. Experience with organising a team and their priorities to deliver to time, budget and agreed standards is essential.
We are looking for you to be collaborative, approachable, and always able to put the customer at the heart of everything you do. Exceptional communication skills and fluency in both English and German are essential.
Lastly, you will need to be commercially minded, able to deliver results, striving for high and continuously improving performance.
