**The Company**
Our client is one of the world’s largest producers and marketers of copper, with mining operations and development projects in key mining regions of Africa, Australia and America. They operate on a large-scale copper and cobalt deposits, both open pit and underground, with high-grade mineral reserves.

**The Role**
This position reports to the Talent Acquisition Coordinator and is responsible for providing global direction, support, coaching and project management with respect to the Talent Acquisition function.
This is a permanent position based in Johannesburg South Africa, with travel to the DRC as and when required.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage the end-to-end talent acquisition cycle for the global copper function.
- Support Hiring Managers and HR Regional teams on the global hiring initiative.
- Ensure that the recruitment process is applied and streamlined in order to gain efficiency.
- Engage with Asset HR and Hiring Managers to promote an Inclusive and Diverse workforce.
- Partner with regional HR to provide support for succession planning, job descriptions, interview guides and business strategies.
- Support the Copper Africa projects, focused on the implementation of the talent acquisition plan.
- Key challenges for the role is the development and implementation of the Global recruitment standards, processes, systems and tools.
- Support and govern the regional recruitment initiative within Copper Africa projects.
- Develop recruitment processes and procedures for the global copper Africa function.
- Establish a diverse and inclusive recruitment strategy with Regional Copper Leads, Asset Management, and various stakeholders.
- Provide salary benchmarking data to ensure regional alignment with the regional strategy.
- Manage 3rd Party recruitment agencies activities.
- Develop and maintain organisational charts.
- Implement key performance indicators and routines for the recruitment process.
- Monitor and report on the progress of recruitment initiatives against the project plan.
- Establish and align the onboarding process for the global function.
- Engage and foster business relationships with Department, Regional and Asset Leadership teams across the Region.
- Work with Regional HR teams to develop an effective and constructive culture based on the company’s values.
- Recruitment Strategy - Recruitment strategy is developed and approved in line with the project plan.
- Recruitment Implementation - Recruitment strategy is implemented across the Regions with sustained and visible support from the Leadership teams.
- Recruitment Governance - Recruitment compliance is achieved and maintained.

**The Requirements**
- Bachelor’s Degree in business in Human Resources and/or related disciplines.
- Minimum 8 years high level experience in full-cycle recruitment in a multinational environment.
- More than 5 years’ recruitment experience in the mining industry is essential.
- Previous experience in project management.
- Organized and result driven.
- Superior time management skills and ability to deal with ambiguity and reprioritize tasks in response to unexpected changes in priorities/requests.
- Excellent interpersonal and interculture communication skills.
