**Introduction**

This position will be based at the Head Office in Woodmead.

**Description**

This EE & Transformation Coordinator is responsible to achieve equity in the workplace by promoting equal opportunity and fair treatment in employment through elimination of unfair discrimination and implementing affirmative action measures to redress the disadvantaged in employment.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**Process Improvement**
- Continuously improve EE processes by undertaking regular reviews of administrative systems and procedures
- Establishing sound Policies and Procedures
**Auditing**
- Ensure accuracy of information by regularly conducting checks and sample audits as appropriate
- Ensuring that all processes are documented in accordance with internal audit, risk and control standards
**Process Accountabilities**
- Communication internally with team members on tasks allocated as well as engaging with relevant stakeholders to provide feedback on requests/information
- Prioritization of daily, weekly and monthly tasks in accordance with relevant processes and SLA agreements with HR teams and business
- Proactively analyse queries from all stakeholders and assign query resolutions to relevant parties
- Conduct daily quality assurance on all information captured for sign off
**Systems / Standards**
- Maximize the effectiveness of the EE function by using the appropriate systems and procedures that ensure compliance with Mining and Generic standards
**Customer Service**
Maintain a working knowledge of EE, LRA and BCEA to customers' questions and escalate to the HR teams depending on complexity
- Ensure that customers questions are fully addressed and follow through to ensure that each case is resolved
- Provide high quality services in a timely and effective manner and within agreed service levels
**EE related consultations and Operations engagement**
- Support the creation of consultation questionnaires or surveys
- Send the link to employees or co-ordinate sessions
- Keep track of engagements in accordance with EEA and HR strategy
- Collate the outcomes and co-ordinate the feedback process
**Legislated Forum meetings**
- Preparation of EE reports in EEA formats
- Co-ordinate meetings to fulfil EEA requirements
- Perform administrative duties to fulfil EEA requirements
- Ad hoc presentation of key aspects
**Integration of Skills Development**
- Liaising with the L&D team on development plans for purposes of EE
- Tracking employee development for EE purposes and workplace profile statistics
- Manage SLA with the L&D team to receive corresponding development data input into EE & SD reports
- Training Operations and Partners and Payroll on EE data management practices including data analysis and collation for various reporting templates
- Custodianship of EE data in accordance with the EEA
- Capturing of EE stakeholder reports against internal targets and Generic and Mining Charter targets
- Tracking employee movements and workplace profile statistics
- Ensuring reconciliation of data with various systems for accuracy
**BBBEE Accountability**
- Preparation and facilitation of the annual BBB-EE audit process
- Keeping abreast of BBBEE legislation and providing guidance, expertise and direction with alignment to the business strategy
- Lead initiatives aimed at maximizing the BBB-EE scorecard points, with particular focus on Procurement, Enterprise and Supplier Development and Skills Development
- Work closely with the Finance and Procurement teams in identifying improvement opportunities for the company's' preferential procurement policy
- Work closely with HR in identifying improvement opportunities for the HR programs such as Recruitment, EE profile etc.
- Forecast, track and monitor the company's BBB-EE scorecard
- Compiling transformation progress reports
- Conducting awareness, education and sensitisation sessions on BBB-EE initiatives
- Creating and maintaining a preferential procurement database for approved black owned suppliers in conjunction with the Procurement department
- Collecting and maintaining BBB-EE certificates of all suppliers in conjunction with the Procurement department
- Tracking Supplier Development commitments as part of tender agreements in conjunction with the Procurement department
- Submission of Transformation related documents as part of tender processes in conjunction with the Procurement department
**Qualification Requirements**
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management / Industrial Psychology or a related discipline
- Finance or Accounting qualification will be an advantage

**Experience and Skills Requirements**
- 10 years corporate HR working experience in a Generalist or Specialist role of which 5 years must be in an Employment Equity role
Experience with the Generic and Mining Charter codes will be advantageous
- Thorough technical knowledge of employment equity legislation and its Codes of Good Practice
- Understand the LRA, BCEA, SDA and SD
