**Purpose of Role**:
As part of fostering a culture of entrepreneurship among the country’s youth in order to reduce the high levels of unemployment; the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation (the Foundation) seeks to foster a community of responsible, high impact entrepreneurs in order to achieve an equitable South Africa flourishing with meaningful employment.

We are searching for a dynamic individual to partner with the regional functional directors and managers to ensure that Talent are engaged. Provides direction and guidance on Organisational Development, Performance Management, Change Management, Talent Engagement and Employee Relations. Also responsible for all Human Resources Management practices, policies and procedures.

**Objectives of Role**:

- Contributes to the HR deliverables through active participation in HR Team.
- Provide input into the strategic framework for Talent Development.
- Support current and future Foundation needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and retention of Talent.
- Partners with line management to conduct regular training needs analysis and implement training and development plans.
- Ensure that the organisation employs the right balance of Talent in terms of skills and experience, and training and development opportunities are available to employees to focus and enhance their performance and ensure the Foundation meets its business vision.
- Drafts reports for review by the Head of Talent for the Board and other stakeholders.
- Provide an advisory service to regional line management in the leadership of their teams.
- Monitors overall progress against individual Talent development plans.
- Contributes to and communicates the Foundation's enabling organisational culture.
- Manages Talent Engagement and Culture "health checks" through surveys, interviews and other initiatives.
- Plan interventions and communicates intended outcomes, objectives, programme and processes.
- Identify opportunities and needs for Change Management initiatives.
- Manages the recruitment process for all roles based at the regional office they support.
- Designs, sources and implements programmes /interventions to support HR strategy.
- Provide advice and assistance on IR matters related to BCEA, LRA, EEA and SDA as well as procedures relating to grievances and disciplinary action.
- Report to management and provide appropriate HR metrics to support decision making.
- Manage the HR budgets, ensuring the cost-effective use of resources.
- Contribute to the HR Management Systems (Sage 300 & Cascade) and review and suggest changes as necessary.
- Partner with Shared Services on payroll and other transactional HR requests and services.
- Forecasts annual capital & operational expenses in line with programme objectives.
- Participate in/lead HR project as required.

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of experience in desired role with experience working across the full HR Value Chain
- Experience operating in business partner role or similar
- Specialised Computer literacy
