**Salary**: Market Related

The primary Maintenance Role is to ensure that the facilities, layout and machinery used to produce new and existing materials run to their maximum efficiency and output. This includes total preventative maintenance, managing breakdowns of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment (including software programming).

**CORE MAINTANANCE ACTIVITIES WILL INCLUDE**:

- Suitably qualified to be appointed as the GMR 2.1
- MV voltage experience, switching and training.
- Extensive plant level experience with significant proven management experience.
- Completed a fully indentured apprenticeship with a mechanical/electrical discipline.
- Technical capability and understanding.
- Experience of managing Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities for maintenance.
- Knowledge in the manufacturing of coatings and paints.
- Strong computer literacy and ability to work on various IT platforms.
- Strategy Development.
- Manage contractors onsite.
- Assist EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) Supervisor with required EHS tasks.
- Member of various emergency teams and responsible for maintaining and testing of fire sprinkler system.
- Conduct and carryout internal and compliance audits, report on findings.
- Carry out risk assessments and special assessments as required by the business.
- To carry out investigations into accidents and near-miss incidents and to record the findings on the relevant forms.
- Conduct health and safety inspections and prepare reports and documents as required.
- To identify areas where training/certification is required to meet the standards imposed by Legislation, Approved Codes of Practice and the Company.
- Keep up to date with changes in current legislation and implement such changes where relevant.
- Bring to the attention of the Leadership Team any relevant new legislation.
- Attend any courses/seminars run by external sources to enable accurate interpretation of legislation to enable implementation within the organisation.

**QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED**
- Previous experience in a similar role/environment is essential.
- Suitably Qualified as an Electrician or Millwright.
- Formal qualification in Occupational Health and Safety would be beneficial.
- Effectively influence those at a senior level.
- Professional in their approach to dealing with issues and employees.
- Strong organizational or administrative skills with attention to detail and a methodical approach.
- Focused on delivering outstanding customer service to the Company’s internal customers and contractors.
- IT literate and a comprehensive understanding of all Windows based programs.
- The ability to communicate clearly and confidently with a range of people.
- Strong teamwork skills are essential.
