**Position Overview**

Global Citizen is seeking an Associate, Community + Content to assist with community management, content creation, and reporting for the Social team. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Community and will work closely with our Director, Social Content. This person will have a mandate to help foster community and bring content to life on the platforms where our audience is, with a particular focus on our Africa-focused channels on Twitter and Instagram.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Customer Service + Community Management **- Weighed 30%
- Manages all customer service duties during Africa time zones
- Supports social engagement in specific time zones outside of ET (New York)
- Works with Senior Manager, Community on customer service needs specific to tentpole events, rewards, and marketing initiatives

**Content Creation **- Weighed 30%
- Assist the social team with content creation for all social channels
- Design assets with social in mind, working with Canva (or a similar tool) to contribute to the Content Team workflow
- Assist with copywriting needs for social channels as needed by the larger team

**Reporting **- Weighed 30%
- Develop relevant reports for social team as needed, including results/data and sentiment reporting
- Implement reporting cadence and build out periodic results reports around key initiatives, campaigns, and more
- Build ongoing and periodic social sentiment reports, working with available tools to compile insights and report out to the team as needed

**Campaign Support **- Weight 10%
- Support customer service, social, and community management efforts around the Move Afrika campaign in Q4
- Assist with all relevant campaign needs

**Requirements For Success**

**Education & Experience**
- 1-2 years professional experience in social media content and community management
- Proven experience developing social data and sentiment reports
- Proven experience designing social-first content and writing copy for social platforms

**Attributes**

- Creative, proactive, and able to spot problems and solve them.
- A team player with a positive, can-do attitude and sense of humor.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Understanding of data tools such as Google Analytics, Sprinklr, Domo, and more.
- Ability to analyze data and work in data tools to create custom reports.
- Ability to work in Canva / Photoshop / Illustrator / InDesign to create social media content.
- A dedication to Global Citizen’s mission of ending poverty by 2030.

- Global Citizen operates on a hybrid work model - 3 days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) in our Johannesburg office and 2 days (Monday & Friday) telecommuting.
