**About the Company**:
TASK is a South African headquartered, multinational clinical research institute that conducts clinical trials to determine the treatment effects of novel medicinal products or devices in healthcare and offers services in conducting complex clinical trials in a wide variety of therapeutic areas.

**Overall Purpose of the Position**:
To manage and oversee TASK clinical investigators and ensure efficient conduct of clinical trials and other medical operations under the applicable ethical, regulatory and scientific standards at the relevant TASK site.

**Key Performance Areas (KPAs) & Responsibilities include, but not limited to**:

- Leading, managing and actively supporting clinical investigators at the relevant site in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Ensuring best practices are maintained at the site according to TASK Policies, SOPs and Good Clinical Practice guidelines
- Achieving site and trial targets within timelines and set budget
- Developing and monitoring recruitment strategies for the site and per trial
- Contributing to TASK scientific programs and training of staff
- Assisting with feasibility assessments and site selection visits for new projects
- Contributing to strategic planning discussions and driving implementation of initiatives and decisions for the growth of the site and staff
- Driving diversification into new therapeutic areas
- Managing occupational health requirements for TASK staff according to relevant TASK Policies

**Ideal Requirements**
- Senior clinical researcher with experience as a principal investigator
- Broad medical experience, MBCHB, HPCSA registration, Good Clinical Practice certificate
- At least 3 years’ experience as a medical doctor / investigator in the field of clinical trials
- Business management experience or qualification would be a distinct advantage
