Loader - Second Shift

**BACKGROUND**

Youngman Roofing, a leading supplier of high-quality roofing and insulation products, is looking for an individual to join the Group as a Loader. The successful individual will be required to load all trucks on the second shift in compliance with company policies.

**KEY RESPONSIBILTIES**

The Loader works alongside, and follows the instructions of, the Head Loader to ensure that the trucks are loaded accurately on the second shift, by:
**Loading Procedures**
- Assist the crane operator to load vehicles according to delivery notes
- Provide the crane operator with accurate instructions of the correct product to be loaded on the correct truck
- Responsible for hooking (and later unhooking) the belt to and from the load and then using the remote control to move product load onto the truck, or overseeing this
- Ensure that products are handled with due care and attention during loading, to avoid damages
- Record damages and ensure that the Supervisor is aware of damages
- Ensure that the trucks are loaded according to delivery notes and account for all items loaded, and that documentation is controlled
- Ensure that losses and wastage are minimised during the execution of daily work activities

Conduct work in alignment with the overall goals of the business as well as departmental goals

Housekeeping
- Ensure that loading areas are left in a neat condition after loading

**Health and Safety**
- Comply with all health and safety regulations with regard to machinery at all times
- Report any deviations from health and safety standard to supervisor

**SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Grade 12 or equivalent. Alternatively, individuals will be given Recognition for Prior Learning if they are not in possession of a Matric certificate.
- Relevant experience in loading and/or stock control would be advantageous.
- Code 10 Driving License required
- Code 14 Driving License and/or Crane Operator License beneficial
