Practice Manager

As a Practice Manager, you will be responsible for the successful fulfillment of service level agreements with clients, ensuring quality of service standards and training finance team members. This position offers a unique opportunity for Practice Managers to expand their skill set and gain valuable experience in servicing dynamic clients operating in diverse industries in South Africa.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Business Process: Analyze and refine accounting processes and workflows for efficiency and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Leverage technology to automate routine tasks, enhance data accuracy, and improve client reporting and insights.Oversee the implementation and management of accounting software solutions, ensuring they meet the needs of both the firm and its clients.
- Operations Management: Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the accounting practice, overseeing client assignments, workflow management, and deadline adherence. Monitor operational metrics specific to accounting practices, such as client satisfaction scores, project profitability, and team productivity.
- Client Management: Develop a thorough understanding of our SMB clients, understanding their accounting needs and challenges. Ensure high-quality, timely delivery of accounting services, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and CFO advisory. Regularly review client accounts to identify opportunities for additional services and improvements.
- Talent Management: Lead the training and development of accounting professionals, including bookkeepers, accountants, and financial analysts. Implement a structured performance management system tailored to accounting roles, promoting professional growth and operational excellence. Cultivate a culture of continuous learning, encouraging staff to stay updated on accounting standards, software, and best practices.
- Organization Management: Align the accounting team's efforts with the strategic goals of Fiskal, ensuring operational efficiency and exceptional service delivery. Manage resources effectively, including staffing, budgeting, and technology, to support client projects and internal operations. Foster cross-functional collaboration, especially with the tech team, to ensure seamless integration of accounting software and tools.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new systems, accounting regulations, and best practices to maintain a high level of expertise.
- Collaborative Environment: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including C-Suite executives, Start-up Founders and entrepreneurs, Auditors, and Legal advisors, to provide holistic financial solutions.
**Qualifications**:
- Any finance related qualifications CA(SA)
- 8 years experience working in Public Accounting.
- Leadership skills to coach, develop and train client facing teams
- Ability to garner relationships with team leads and leverage skill sets
- Exceptionally high emotional intelligence with clients and team members
- Ability to use critical thinking and problem solving using first principles
- Be a Strategic Collaborator with the other C-Suite members to execute on the company's vision, and contribute meaningfully to the direction of the company
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Effective resource management.
- A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
