**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Establish and maintain relationships with authorities to ensure company objectives in terms of legal compliance are achieved.
- Liaise with project managers on environmental projects and report on progress.
- Monitor and report on project compliance.
- Monitor and report on environmental indicators to ensure internal objectives and targets are met.
- Lead, organise and conduct internal compliance audits.
- Manage, maintain, and improve the company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Management System in line with company standards.
- Lead the drive for continual improvement of these standards throughout the company.
- Prepare and submit all Client vetting documentation requirements.
- Ensure company has all the required mandatory and regulatory appointments.
- Facilitates all forms of risk assessment e.g., general, fire prevention and acts as a final authority where a specialist response is required in relation to risk assessments performed by others.
- Implement and conduct health and safety inspections and audits program including the completion of documentation of compliance and corrective actions taken or to be taken.

**Desired Experience & Qualification**
- Matric/Grade 12
- A Diploma and environmental bachelor’s degree or National Diploma or B Tech
- 5 years' experience as an environmental Officer
- 5 years’ experience in monitoring implementation of environment management plan.
- Demonstrate experience in undertaking due diligence.
- Proven track record and experience with environmental best practices and industrial environmental management
- Ability to plan, organize, direct, coordinate, execute, monitor, and evaluate.
- In-depth knowledge of South Africa Environmental Laws and regulations

**Salary**: R20 000,00 - R25 000,00 per month
