Responsibilities:

- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to promote a safe work environment
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions
- Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, including incident statistics, trends, and recommendations for improvement
- Provide safety training and education to employees on topics such as hazard recognition, emergency response, and personal protective equipment
- Collaborate with management and employees to develop and maintain a strong safety culture

**Requirements**:

- National Diploma Safety Management or Environmental Health Diploma from recognized safety certificate (e.g. SAMTRAC - full course)
- Minimum of 2 years related experience within an electric environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and delivering safety training
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
