**Job Advert Summary**:
Develop, maintain, manage, and execute a comprehensive process for identifying, assessing, mitigating, monitoring, and reporting on risks that may impact on organisational performance.

To assist the company in discharging their responsibility to comply with applicable compliance obligations through the provision of compliance risk management services.

**Minimum Requirements**:
**Qualifications**:

- Degree in Commerce or Law.
- Post graduate degree in Commerce and Law will be an added advantage.
- Additional qualification/certification in compliance, governance and risk will be an advantage.
- Membership of either Institute of Risk Management, Ethics Institute or Compliance Institute SA

Experience
- At least 5 years’ experience in a governance, risk, and compliance environment and 3 years at management level.
- Experience in conducting internal investigations.
- Knowledge of Public Administration
- Excellent interpersonal and problem resolving skills.
- Computer literate.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
RISK MANAGEMENT
- Develop, implement, and maintain an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework; and applicable Policies and Procedures.
- Develop and implement a strategic and annual ERM plan.
- Develop and implement risk assessment methodologies, models, and systems.
- Assess and maintain the risk maturity profile of the company.
- Facilitate the risk assessments for ethics, operational, strategic, Occupational Health and Safety, and project risk.
- Develop risk registers according to risk areas.
- Facilitate the development of risk response strategies (mitigation plans).
- Establish and maintain a risk management philosophy and culture within the organisation.
- Manage the coordination of risk management with all assurance providers.

COMPLIANCE AND ETHICS MANAGEMENT
- Develop and maintain a compliance manual, policy, and charter.
- Develop and implement a strategic and annual Compliance plan.
- Identify, assess, and manage compliance obligations.
- Provide advice on controls to meet compliance obligations.
- Resolving issues of non-compliance.
- Assist with ad hoc investigations as and when required and within the company internal protocol and delegations.
- Facilitate a compliance culture that contributes to the overall objective of prudent risk management by the organisation.
- Develop and implement ethics management governance controls.

REPORTING AND MONITORING
- Report all relevant ERM matters including findings, risk positions and recommendations to applicable internal authority.
- Report monthly, quarterly, and annually to the CEO on risk matters.
- Report quarterly to the Audit and Risk Committee on the progress on mitigating measures.
- Report all relevant compliance matters including findings, compliance risk positions and recommendations to the CEO, governance structure and relevant levels of management in a timely manner.
- Ensure that the three assurance functions agree on the appropriateness of the individual plans and programs.
- Monitor and measure compliance performance indicators to highlight areas of strength, weakness, training needs or requirements for other corrective actions.
- Monitor and report on compliance and ethics management to applicable internal authority.

STAKEHOLDERS AND TRAINING
- Implement approved compliance and risk processes.
- Ensure that approved compliance and risk processes are implemented by staff, as applicable.
- Establish sound working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure timeous communication of compliance and risk matters to internal and external stakeholders within the company communication protocols.

GOVERNANCE
- Ensure timeous distribution of Governance, Risk and Compliance matters to staff in accordance to the company protocol.
- Ensure that the company is updated on relevant Risk and Compliance matters.
