**Key responsibilities**
- Provide a marketing strategy for a group of companies and the various business units, provide a budget for implementing and measuring strategies
- Provide all companies with inter alia; Google Analytics ,Google AdWords and Search engine optimisation, Analyze the results of the aforesaid.
- Advise management and its business partners on internal and customer events
- Interact and co-ordinate with our social media advertising service providers
- Co-ordinate with the service providers of design marketing collateral such as inter alia; business cards, letterheads, certificates, logos, branding ,banners, specials and functions
- Produce dashboards and status updates for CEO, Company heads [internal] and service providers [external]
- Advise on and manage the basis of billing(s) -retainers ,per hour and per project, etc.
- Drive demand and desire for the various brands and products and align marketing strategy to business objectives for the Group and the individual companies
- Analyse competitors and provide insight reporting
- Advise and manage the customer journey mapping and measure customer experience through technology;
Essential Skills and Abilities
- **Leadership skills.** This is one of the most obvious skills that you will require for the job. You will have to inspire others and also make executive-level presentations and both of these tasks require good leadership skills.
- **Strategic thinking**. You will often have to combine or mix-and-match the classic strategic marketing skills in your work.Excellent written and verbal skills. Companies may ask you for a written sample or request you to speak in front of a group to test you on these abilities.You should also be familiar with the software programs for word processing, spreadsheet analysis and financial analysis.
- **Detail-oriented and organized**. It is often the small details that can make or break a project. Hence, it is important that you as a group marketing manager are able to take care of even the smallest detail and remain organized to ensure perfection.
- **High energy levels**. Senior level jobs involve demanding schedules and long working hours. You need to be an energetic individual to cope with the demands of the job and do justice to your work.
- **Willngness to Travel Extensively**: There will be a great deal of human interaction so you will be required to attend at the company premises and other premises in RSA which will entail days away from home
- **Ability to handle pressure**. The field of marketing is a fast-paced, stressful environment with a lot of pressure. To work in this field, you should be able to handle the pressure constructively.
- **Enthusiasm, a passion for the job and being self-motivated** are other important skills for a senior group marketing manager to possess.
- **Knowledge of different languages and cultures**. Today, a majority of the companies, specially the big ones are MNCs with offices around the globe. In this multi-cultural environment, knowledge of different cultures and languages is a big plus for a position at this level.
- **Excellent project management skills**:

- **Very good interpersonal skills**. In marketing, you need to reason with, persuade, negotiate and manage others. To do this successfully, you need to know how to handle people.
- **Creative and lateral thinker.** The ability to think creatively and out-of-the-box is an essential skill for a marketing professional.
- **Teamwork.** You should be willing to work in a team as required and share the spotlight.

**Educational Background**
- BCom Marketing
- Along with the educational qualifications, work experience also matters
- 8-10+ years of work experience and in this period, you should also have experience of leading a marketing team, managing projects and budgets. Preferably on a “group structure” i.e. Individual companies with different products, strategies & needs; overarching the group structure
- Experience in managing top-tier clients at a marketing agency will be an advantage.
- Proven track record of competently delivering large-scale and/or multiple projects at a time.
- Familiarity with tracking tools used to assess a campaign's performance. For example; Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Facebook Business Manager & Ads Manager.
- Broad experience in online marketing and advertising
- Knowledge of how above-the-line & below-the-line marketing strategies complement one another.
