We are looking for a Wine Steward to join the Food & Beverage team.
- Create and update the wine list in coordination with the Head chef and the Food and Beverage Manager.
- Delight our guests by helping them choose the best wine to complement their meals.
- Ensure wines are served at the right temperature and within the proper glassware.
- Store open bottles properly to avoid wastage.
- Overseeing the serving and storage of wine and training the service staff on the wine selections.
- Recommending wine varieties to our guests, supervising wine serving and collaborating with winemakers to renew our selections.
- Monitoring the effectiveness of the wine list in terms of customer satisfaction and making adjustments where necessary.
- Controlling and analysing the quality of the wines on offer and of the wine cellar in general.
- Looking after the wine cellar on a daily basis, ensuring it is clean and monitoring the inventory.

**Requirements**:

- Experience as a Sommelier, Wine Steward/Stewardess or similar role.
- Ability to create tasteful food and wine pairings.
- Knowledge of local vineyards and wineries.
- Understanding of the winemaking process.
- Good communication skills.
- Certification as a Sommelier or degree in hospitality is beneficial.
