Job Summary
Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Cleaning & Maintenance
Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, and meeting spaces following the estate's SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
Ensure that high-touch surfaces (door handles, switches, etc.) are disinfected regularly.
Handle laundry, including washing, ironing, and folding, ensuring linen and towels are pristine.
Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of all public areas, including lounges, lobbies, and event spaces.
2. Room Setup & Preparation
Ensure luxury suites are set up to the highest standards before guest check-in (arrange pillows, replenish amenities, stock mini-bars, and ensure special touches).
Prepare rooms according to guest preferences, including VIP setups, turn-down services, and seasonal decorations.
Monitor room inventories to ensure all necessary guest items are stocked (e.g., toiletries, towels, refreshments).
3. Inventory & Stock Control

4. Maintenance Reporting
Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas to ensure facilities are in excellent condition.
Report maintenance issues (e.g., faulty lighting, plumbing, or broken furniture) promptly to the maintenance department.
5. Guest Service & Hospitality
Maintain a discreet and professional demeanor around guests, ensuring their privacy and comfort.
Respond to special guest requests (extra blankets, specific cleaning times, etc.) promptly and efficiently.
Provide guests with basic information about the estate’s amenities, services, and activities when needed.
6. Health & Safety Compliance
Follow hygiene and safety protocols aligned with estate policies and industry standards.
Ensure compliance with all fire, safety, and environmental regulations.
Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment according to safety guidelines.
7. Teamwork & Communication
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., front-of-house, events, maintenance) to meet operational goals.
Participate in regular team meetings and provide feedback on housekeeping operations.
Assist with setting up rooms or spaces for events, weddings, or functions as required.

Qualifications & Experience
- Prior experience in luxury hospitality, hotel housekeeping, or similar environment is essential but not a requirement.
- Familiarity with the hospitality industry’s cleaning standards and practices.
- Knowledge of handling various cleaning tools, materials, and chemicals safely.
- A certificate or diploma in housekeeping/hospitality (preferred but not essential).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods.
Capable of lifting, pushing, or pulling items up to 20 kg as part of cleaning and room preparation tasks.
