**Managing Consultant (Property Risk Consulting - Africa)**:

The purpose of this role is to deliver the firm by organizing, packaging and presenting the global capacity and capability of Marsh and McLennan companies. In this role you will be responsible for increasing market presence in the Property Risk Consulting business unit through tangible and measurable client service interventions aligned to global best practice. You will report to the Practice Leader: Property Risk Consulting, and work alongside other Managing Consultants within the practice and across industries.

**We will count on you to**:

- Integrate MMC and Marsh wide solutions in a consultative approach to deliver the firm to prospective clients and drive systematic growth within the Property Risk Consulting practice
- Lead, develop and pro-actively seek out new business opportunities with the Property Risk Consulting practice and broader Advisory space
- Drive the development of client centric solutions, articulate and present these as required
- Assume leadership and ownership of the renewal cycle for clients under management
- Effectively lead and manage a team of experienced and qualified individuals chosen for their ability to make a difference in the Property Risk Consulting practice
- Secure client wins in targeted industries, including potentially owning an industry space
- Ensure effective cross-selling between Marsh divisions
- Meet or exceed the agreed income targets
- Develop relationships with markets and Key Client decision makers
- Communicate and report to senior level colleagues on team performance, contributing market and product insights and coordinating across teams and industries to gain business insights and growth opportunities.

**What you need to have**:

- Qualifications as following: Appropriate insurance qualification (FCII, ACII, FIISA, AIISA), Bachelor’s degree (Financial or Engineering preferred), Postgraduate studies (MBA, CFA, CA) and professional body registration (ECSA, SAICA)
- Solid knowledge of insurance and business sectors
- Good communication skills including solid command of written and spoken English
- Superior analytical and reporting skills
- Solid negotiations skills
- Computer literacy including intermediate skills in Excel, PowerPoint and word
- Initiative and ability to work with high levels of independence with existing clients and new business prospects
