Wholesale Sales Manager

Are you a results-driven wholesale telecom sales professional looking to expand business across Southern Africa? We are hiring a Wholesale Sales Manager – Southern Africa to drive revenue growth, manage key accounts, and expand market penetration across Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Zimbabwe, Zambia, Angola, Malawi, and Mozambique. This role involves selling Dark Fiber, Lit Capacity, IP Transit, and Co-location services to telecom operators, ISPs, large enterprises, and Hyperscalers, as well as selling and purchasing Submarine Cable Capacity.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Revenue
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities while managing and growing existing key accounts.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with wholesale customers to maximize profitability.
Reporting, Analysis & Forecasting
- Maintain comprehensive sales reports, tracking revenue performance and pipeline health.
- Analyze customer trends and market conditions to identify growth opportunities.
- Provide data-driven insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.
- Ensure real-time sales tracking using CRM tools and dashboards.
- Conduct ongoing market research on demand for Dark Fiber, Lit Capacity, IP Transit, and Co-location services.
- Analyze competitor strategies and pricing models to refine sales approaches.
- Monitor regulatory changes and industry trends that could impact sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop tailored sales messaging.
- Position products effectively, highlighting key differentiators like network reliability and scalability.

Job Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in a Commercial or Technical field.
- Minimum 10 years of working experience in wholesale telecom sales, with at least 5 years in a Senior Sales Manager capacity.
- International exposure in the telecom industry across Africa and globally.
- Strong background in solution selling in the Telco industry.
- Excellent negotiation, planning, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project.
- Fluent in spoken and written English; French and Arabic proficiency is a plus.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
