Sales Executive

The Sales Executive serves as the primary point of contact for acquiring new clients, driving revenue through outbound prospecting, and closing new business deals. This role is essential to PayU's expansion strategy in South Africa, focusing on generating new sales leads, educating clients on PayU's payment solutions, and contributing to overall business growth by meeting sales targets.
Responsibilities & Key Activities:- Generate new business opportunities by identifying and prospecting potential clients in the eCommerce and fintech sectors.
- Establish initial contact with prospects through calls, emails, and face-to-face meetings.
- Educate prospective clients about PayU's products and how they can benefit their businesses.
- Qualify leads and close new business deals, meeting or exceeding assigned sales targets.
- Present PayU's value proposition and negotiate terms with potential clients.
- Provide market feedback and insights to the product and marketing teams to improve sales strategies.
- Maintain up-to-date records of sales activities and prospects in the CRM system.
- Collaborate with Account Management teams to ensure smooth handover and transition of new clients.
- Good working knowledge of Payments, Banking and Financial domain.
- 5+ years of sales experience in a similar B2B environment.
- Experience in partnership lead.
- Proven track record of negotiation skills.
- Cross-functional team experience (different time zones).
- Experience in budget management, forecasting, pricing, and account profitability review.
- Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities.
- Ability to build strong relationships and work effectively with all internal and external teams including sales, business development, marketing, and product management.
- Salesforce experience.
- Effective and professional team communication.
- Team player.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions effectively.
- Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to handle objections and finalize agreements.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess client needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
- Self-Motivated: Highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
