Job Overview

Our organization is seeking a skilled professional to assume a senior-level position in project management and technical leadership within the rail industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical installations and maintenance, as well as proven track records in managing teams and overseeing projects.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Planning and Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive plans for rail fleet overhaul projects, ensuring timely completion of tasks while maintaining quality standards.
  2. Team Leadership and Development: Provide guidance, mentorship, and oversight to technical team members, including electricians, technicians, and contractors, to foster productivity and compliance with project objectives.
  3. Technical Expertise and Oversight: Conduct regular inspections and assessments of electrical systems to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations. Resolve technical issues efficiently to minimize downtime and maintain project efficiency.
  4. Health, Safety, and Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on-site, ensuring compliance with relevant local and international standards for electrical installations and rail systems.
  5. Reporting and Communication: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, progress reports, and incident logs. Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates on project status and challenges.

Requirements

  1. Qualifications: A Trade Tested Electrical Certificate (essential) and additional certifications in project management or rail industry-specific training (advantageous).
  2. Experience: At least 5 years of experience in the rail industry, with a focus on electrical installations and maintenance, and a proven track record in managing teams and overseeing projects in a supervisory or foreman role.
  3. Skills: Strong technical knowledge of rail fleet electrical systems and equipment, excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
  4. Other Requirements: Willingness to work flexible hours, adapt to project demands, and possess a valid driver's license with the ability to travel within the designated area as needed.
