Company Description:Our client is a recognised resource in the design and installation of data, voice and video solutions, and they are looking for a Financial Clerk to join their team as soon as possible.
Job Description:The Financial Clerk will provide essential support to the finance department by performing clerical and administrative tasks related to financial transactions and record-keeping.
This role requires attention to detail, accuracy in handling financial data, and proficiency in financial software.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:- Accurately enter financial transactions into accounting systems
- Maintain and update financial records, including invoices, receipts, and reconciliations
- Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
- Assist manager in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
- Assist with projects
- Inform manager of any discrepancies
- Ensure proper filing of financial documents and reports
- Maintain regular contact with other departments to obtain and convey information or correct transactions
- Assist with general administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, answering phones, and handling correspondence
- Support the finance team in various projects and audits as needed
- Participate in activities needed to support the management functions of the team
- Create and update databases and records for financial information, personnel, and other data
- Filing and archiving records
- Composing and preparing correspondence that is confidential
Matric with accounting as a subject (Essential)
Experience and Skills Required:- No experience required
- Driver's license + own reliable transport
- Strong numerical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Delivers service and completes tasks according to specified and agreed deadlines
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- Dependability - Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to organize and prioritize effectively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Problem-solving skills and proactive attitude
