Job Description:

The Financial Clerk will provide essential support to the finance department by performing clerical and administrative tasks related to financial transactions and record-keeping.

This role requires attention to detail, accuracy in handling financial data, and proficiency in financial software.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Accurately enter financial transactions into accounting systems
  2. Maintain and update financial records, including invoices, receipts, and reconciliations
  3. Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
  4. Assist manager in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
  5. Assist with projects
  6. Inform manager of any discrepancies
  7. Ensure proper filing of financial documents and reports
  8. Maintain regular contact with other departments to obtain and convey information or correct transactions
  9. Assist with general administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, answering phones, and handling correspondence
  10. Support the finance team in various projects and audits as needed
  11. Participate in activities needed to support the management functions of the team
  12. Create and update databases and records for financial information, personnel, and other data
  13. Filing and archiving records
  14. Composing and preparing correspondence that is confidential
Educational Requirements:

Matric with accounting as a subject (Essential)

Experience and Skills Required:
  1. No experience required
  2. Driver's license + own reliable transport
  3. Strong numerical skills
  4. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  5. Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  6. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
  7. Delivers service and completes tasks according to specified and agreed deadlines
  8. Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  9. Dependability - Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
  10. Ability to organize and prioritize effectively
