What You'll Do:

As a senior leader, you'll bring big-picture thinking and hands-on digital expertise to:

  • Lead and shape digital strategies for leading brands across retail, lifestyle and e-commerce.
  • Guide clients through complex landscapes with clarity, creativity and confidence.
  • Use tools, trends, and insights to fuel personalised, performance-driven journeys.
  • Deliver channel-agnostic strategy across websites, apps, e-commerce, social media, SEO, influencer campaigns, content marketing, CRM, and paid media.
  • Collaborate closely with Creative, Client Service and external partners to bring strategy to life - and adjust it as needed.

What You'll Bring:

  • Our client is looking for someone who's as comfortable in boardrooms as they are in data dashboards.
  • 8+ years in digital/brand strategy, with at least 4+ years in a leadership role
  • Proven experience working across multi-channel digital strategies, particularly in e-commerce and retail
  • Ability to distil data into insight, and insight into compelling, clear strategies
  • Confident presenting to C-suite stakeholders and leading conversations that build trust
  • Sharp understanding of the South African digital consumer landscape
  • Mastery of tools like GA4, Search Console, Tag Manager, Brandwatch, Falcon, Screaming Frog, Similar Web, and more
  • A pulse on emerging tech, trends and innovation in the digital space

Bonus Points If You:

  • Have worked in or with retail or e-commerce brands
  • Are obsessed with behavioral journeys, segmentation, and performance at every touchpoint
  • Have a mix of creative flair and analytical sharpness

Location & Flexibility:

  • This role is based at our client's offices in Cape Town - hybrid setup (flexible remote/in-office mix).
  • Occasional travel to workshops and client presentations may be required.
