We are seeking a professional and dedicated Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Stellenbosch. This role is pivotal in leading HR Activities, driving a positive employee experience, championing our values and culture, within the Stellenbosch and Cape Town locations.

Responsibilities:
  1. Contribute to the development of, and implement, MSCI global and regional policies and procedures, tailoring to local requirements where appropriate.
  2. Ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations in all aspects of the management of our people in your designated business groups.
  3. Manage policies and procedures to ensure that they support MSCI's strategic goals and culture.
  4. Provide advice and expertise to employees and managers regarding HR policies, processes and good practice.
  5. Provide support, advice and guidance to all levels of locally based employees.
  6. Proactively provide feedback to management concerning morale, motivation and people at risk, and recommend solutions.
  7. Manage all aspects of the Year End process for client groups to ensure that annual reviews, comp decisions and promotions are successfully completed.
  8. Resolve and respond to ad hoc & personal related queries.
  9. Contact and reporting to local labour authorities, manage contracts and daily cooperation with HR and benefits vendors.
  10. Participate in HRG projects as needed and assigned. Collaborate with HRG peers globally to deliver on the HRG roadmap.
  11. Perform any other tasks as assigned by line manager.
Qualifications:
  1. BSc or MSc in business, human resources or related field.
  2. Solid experience of 7+ years in providing HR generalist support in a private sector environment. Financial Services/Professional Services experience preferred.
  3. Excellent language skills. Fluent oral and written skills required in English.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Approachable, credible and can adopt a flexible approach.
  6. Work independently with minimal supervision.
  7. Discretion and ability to deal with sensitive and confidential issues.
  8. Ability to follow through on issues, use good judgment and provide solutions.
  9. Well organized, thorough and good attention to detail.
