We are looking for a Debtor's Clerk in 7 WARRINGTON ROAD, CLAREMONT, CT, WESTERN CAPE 7708 ZAF. Your mission will be to:

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Debtor's Clerk in our Cape Town branch. This position is for an enthusiastic, analytical-minded individual with above-average organisational skills and a keen interest in accounts payable systems. A detail-oriented team player who can multi-task with the best of them? Then we've got just the job for you.

What we're looking for:

  1. Matric with accounting and mathematics
  2. Qualification - Certificate in Bookkeeping (or similar) with a solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
  3. Key Requirement: Good communication and client liaison skills (both email and telephonic)
  4. Proven 3-5 years experience as a Debtors Clerk
  5. Knowledge of Sage Pastel ERP or similar
  6. Basic Excel literacy
  7. Computer literate and organisational skills
  8. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

You'll be tasked with:

  1. Emailing requested copy invoices or statements by the required deadlines
  2. Professionally resolve client queries with regards to invoices to ensure timeous payment
  3. Perform debtor collection (Company to company), receive proof of payment, capture and reconcile
  4. Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
  5. Issue invoices and statements to clients in a timely manner
  6. Provide reports and action plans on debtor status and ageing accounts
  7. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial data

YOUR PROFILE

  1. Matric with accounting and mathematics
