Legal Secretary – Temp Position

Our client, a leading global provider of equipment and services for the energy industry, is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their team.
Location: Cape Town
Job type: Temporary Contact - On Site
Duties and Responsibilities
- File Statutory Accounts, Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) arranged, Shareholders Resolutions, Board Resolutions and such documents.
- Amend Articles of Associate in some jurisdictions ie. the Articles of Associate need to be amended for simple things such as a management change, or an address change.
- Manage the law firms and the dates.
- Coordinating with the local law firms and arrange board meetings as required
- Ensure POA's templates are available
- Collate company documents for tender purposes
- Resolutions or directors' "undertakings" for signature of Lease agreements or other company related documents.
- Coordinate changes to managers and general managers on the Commercial Registrations
- Assist with the renewal of business licenses.
- Coordinating signatures of directors which are based in Europe, South Africa, and the USA. Either a sign and scan, wet signature or signature needs to be notarized.
Minimum Requirements
- 15 Years + experience as a Legal Secretary
- Certificate or diploma in legal studies, paralegal studies, or office administration
- Understanding of legal terminology, court procedures, and document formatting.
- Proficiency in scheduling, organizing files, and handling correspondence
- Legal Knowledge
