Role Location: Johannesburg, South Africa The People Operations Administrator works in partnership with our client to provide comprehensive HR support for EMEA (and other markets as requested). The role supports the HR Operations Partner and HR Partners with day‑to‑day operations, contributes to high‑quality employee service, and leads certain projects with the partner’s support. What You Will Be Doing Produce employee documentation including offer letters, contracts, variations, and related documentation (e.g., reference probationary reviews, absence management, disciplinary and grievance processes, performance management, redundancy and TUPE). Maintain employee records by updating the HR Database (Sage), Peakon, Greenhouse, and filing changes to ensure compliance. Administer onboarding of new starters, create and update HR documents, assist with induction, and ensure background and reference checks are completed. Enhance onboarding, offboarding, and all other employee lifecycle processes. Support and advise managers and employees on HR queries via telephone or email in a professional manner. Support the employee performance appraisal and compensation planning processes. Collaborate with payroll and finance on people‑related issues and HR audits. Apply employment law and best practice in day‑to‑day support. Manage Safer Recruitment – references, RTW, data protection, etc. Help the People Partner set up and improve processes for best practice. Build and instill a customer‑service culture through proactive, compassionate guidance. Maintain process, program, and policy knowledge to assist team members. Complete ad‑hoc projects, reporting, and data analysis for accurate statistics. Ensure all HR operational tasks are audit‑ready and run smoothly. Oversee the payroll process, ensuring accuracy and acting as contact for payroll queries. Lead maternity and paternity conversations. Identify inefficient processes and propose solutions, including automation. Run daily team operations to meet SLAs and standards. Audit data accuracy and provide training where needed. Collaborate with the People Operations Partner to align EMEA processes. Facilitate meetings, share opinions, and collaborate across departments.
