HR Evolve Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa Process Engineer HR Evolve Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa TYPE: Fixed term contract – 6 months, with possibility to extend LOCATION: On-site – 1 x Northern Suburbs STARTING DATE: ASAP REPORTING TO: Head of Department ABOUT THE JOB The client is looking for a solutions‑driven Operational Researcher to join our team to help shape the development of groundbreaking software to help drive Continuous improvement for our customer running large scale distribution centres. If you thrive on data analysis, physical process optimisation, and designing smarter solutions, this is your chance to make a measurable impact. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Analyse complex distribution centre data to identify inefficiencies and opportunities. Design and implement data driven solutions that streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve service delivery. Collaborate with cross functional teams to architect scalable operational systems. Develop models, simulations, and decision support tools to guide strategic improvements. Present actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership. JOB REQUIREMENTS Must have: Tertiary Education: BSc Engineering, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or related field. 1–5 years’ experience in process improvement, optimisation, and systems design. 1–5 years’ experience with data analysis tools (SQL, Python, R, or similar). 1–5 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain, or distribution environments. Excellent communication skills — able to translate complex data into clear, practical solutions. Fanatical attention to detail. Passion for data, design, and continuous learning. Other: Driver’s licence and own reliable transport – essential. South African citizen. Clear credit and criminal record. Willingness to travel locally to internationally if required. Ability to work in the Northern suburbs (Cape Town) - office and remotely when required.
