We are searching for a bright and enthusiastic Junior R&D Engineer to join our dynamic research and development team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of next-generation materials and building technologies, working alongside experienced engineers on exciting projects that push the boundaries of innovation in the built environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and Development:
    • Assist senior engineers in conducting research on new materials, technologies, and construction methods relevant to the building industry.
    • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to the development of innovative concepts for building systems, products, and services.
    • Conduct laboratory experiments and simulations to test the performance and feasibility of new technologies.
    • Analyze data and prepare comprehensive reports documenting research findings and recommendations.
  • Prototyping and Testing:
    • Assist in the design and fabrication of prototypes for new building technologies.
    • Conduct laboratory and field tests to evaluate the performance of prototypes under various conditions.
    • Collect and analyze test data, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to design revisions.
  • Collaboration and Learning:
    • Collaborate effectively with other engineers, researchers, and technicians within the R&D team.
    • Participate in knowledge sharing sessions and contribute to the team's collective expertise.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in building technology and related fields.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in building technology and a passion for innovation.
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of building systems, materials, and construction methods.
  • Proven expertise (e.g. postgraduate research) with research methodologies and data analysis techniques.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., CAD software, simulation tools).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of sustainable building practices and green building certifications is advantageous.
  • Willingness to get your hands dirty coupled with a natural affinity for research is preferred
