Our client, a dynamic and fast-growing market research company, is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to build and lead their QA department.

This is an exciting opportunity to build processes, develop a high-performing team, and ensure the highest standards in data integrity, analysis, and reporting.

Location: Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha

Job type: Remote – Permanent Position

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and enforce data quality standards and procedures to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data used in market research projects.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of QA Controllers to support Research Operations.
  • Conduct regular audits of databases and data sources to assess data quality and promptly address any identified issues.
  • Proactively identify trends and patterns that may affect data integrity and take appropriate actions to address them.
  • Work closely with research, operations, and client service teams to embed a quality-first culture.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with relevant data protection regulations and policies.
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends, recommending and implementing improvements to existing processes.
  • Coordinate daily, weekly and monthly tasks and deadlines to maximise efficiency.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Research).
  • Minimum 5 years in a Quality Assurance role, preferably in market research or data-driven industries.
  • Proven track record of setting up and managing a QA function, including hiring and leading teams.
  • Strong understanding of research methodologies, data validation techniques, and quality frameworks.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages commonly used in data quality management (e.g., SQL, SAS, Python, R).
  • Familiarity with data visualisation and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI) for communicating data quality metrics.
