QualificationsMatric Requirements Valid forklift license (essential). 12 years experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of production machinery. Ability to read instructions, follow procedures, and work under pressure. Physically fit; able to lift, load, and handle materials safely. Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and weekends if required Experience operating presses, rewinders, or similar machinery. Exposure to MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Operations) environments. Basic mechanical tools knowledge. Duties Machine Operation Operate presses, rewinders, and other production equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs). Perform basic machine setup, adjustments, and safety checks before and during operation. Monitor machine performance and report abnormalities to the supervisor or fitter. Ensure proper changeover procedures when switching moulds or product specifications. Maintenance Support Assist the qualified fitter with repairs, maintenance, and mechanical tasks. Prepare and hand over tools, parts, and equipment needed during maintenance work. Support breakdown recovery by safely handling components and following instructions. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the maintenance and machine areas. Material Handling Load raw materials (e.g., aluminium foil rolls) onto presses, rewinders, and other machinery. Safely transport materials, pallets, and tooling using a forklift (valid license required). Assist with inventory counts of materials, tools, and spare parts. Ensure all materials are stored safely and in designated locations Production & Quality Follow production plans and meet daily output targets. Conduct basic visual quality checks on products and materials. Report any defects, deviations, or equipment issues immediately. Safety & Compliance Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Use PPE and follow machine lockout/tag-out procedures when required. Maintain a safe and clean working environment at all times. Understand and follow company policies and standard operating procedures.
